Mi ha impressionato la sua capacità di ragionare senza fretta sulle implicazioni della rete sulla società e la sua lettura a misura d’uomo delle cose di internet. Oltre a essere business angel, Esther Dyson è molto attiva sul fronte della trasparenza nei media, nella politica e negli affari. Non a caso, vedo che nasce professionalmente come factchecker a Forbes Magazine;  di quell’esperienza ha raccontato in un recente post su Huffington Post, che mi sembra molto appropriato segnalare in questa nostra collezione di appunti sul tema:

I brought up my past because I think that fact-checking is the single best training not just for journalism, but for life in general. It teaches you to think skeptically. It is easy to believe something when someone who appears knowledgeable asserts it. But if you have a responsibility for checking facts, you listen more carefully.
